Angela Lansbury Says Women Should Take Some Of The Blame For Sexual Harassment

Dame Angie through the years.

Dame Angela Lansbury, 92, told The Telegraph that women must accept some of the blame for sexual harassment and assault because they “go out of their way to make themselves attractive” to men. Lansbury also said she never personally suffered any harassment during her career, which began in 1944. Never? Not once? I find that hard to believe — she was a certified hottie in her day, and pervy movie execs were everywhere back then.

“There are two sides to this coin. We have to own up to the fact that women, since time immemorial, have gone out of their way to make themselves attractive. And unfortunately it has backfired on us—and this is where we are today. We must sometimes take blame, women. I really do think that. Although it’s awful to say we can’t make ourselves look as attractive as possible without being knocked down and raped.”
