The history of football is about 150 years old. There is no Solid evidence available about the beginning of Football but some connections Suggests that Romans & Ancient Greeks used to play Football like Games where in those games feet were used to play the games.
Harpastum was a game that Roman used to play & assumed to come from the Greeks. Some experts suggest that those games resembled with the rugby Football. According to FIFA, cuju seems to be the earliest formation of the Football. The Military were used to exercise by this method in 2nd & 3rd centuries BC. In this Period, cuju was played & during 206 BC the development were made in cuju. If we further explore the history, then later on in Japan & Korea, cuju spread with lots of variety. So after this, many evidences were found about Football. In 1586 when there were men in the ship & they played game like Football on the shore with the Greenland People. Similarly in 1610 some connections had found. The main evidences suggest that the modern Football comes from the Western Europe & England comes at No, 1 in this Regard. The main popularity in Football came in the middle period of the Football history
The mob Football is the early form of the Football that was played in religious occasions such as Christmas, Easter etc. This was the very beginning of the Football & its source is England. This so called mob Football assumes to be played with the neighbors & in town. The lot of people used to participate in this format. They would be referred to play with the object like bladder of the animal & they moved that object to the opposite site like church. From about the period 1174-1184, some detail evidences found when London Youths used to play the ball game.
The Reliable reference is that the Football basically comes from England from 1280. The credit goes to public Schools, Students & Teachers who made new laws & change the game of mob Football into modern Football. They organized it into team form & Played matches with the Schools & with different oppositions. In this period the evidences shows that while playing Football some handling was allowed. If we talk about the Sports Clubs, then this is the period of 18th Century. The structure of the ball changed from period to period because the Early Romans used to play with the inflated bladder of the Animals but later on in 1851 some shoe makers made the round & oval shaped leather ball & exhibited in London exhibition.
The football progressed rapidly & in 1848 the Cambridge rules were introduced. Although the copy of those rules not exists today but their revised version is available. According to these rules handling was not allowed. Although Cambridge rules were not adapted to greater extent but they had the greater influence on making the rules further modernized.
By the end of the 1850s, many clubs were formed & they used to play football according to their own rules. In this scenario, many attempts were made to unify the rules of the game & try to make the Football association. For this purpose in October 1863 the seven member committee worked on it & they introduced the new laws of the game. So in 1869, first ever game was played under the Football association rules (FA) between Princeton & Rutgers.
Now FIFA is the International governing body of the Football & it was formed in 21 May 1904. It has 208 Members in Association. Now the Football is the Most popular game in the World.
